Academy Registration

The Magic SC Academy Program serves as a transitionary step between Pre-Academy Soccer and Travel Soccer. Players receive the licensed coaching and year-round training opportunities of the Travel Program; but there is minimal travel, and players of all levels are welcome to join, like our Pre-Academy Program.

How it Works

The Magic SC Academy seeks to build confidence and creativity in each player by helping them to master fundamental skills in a fun, player-centered environment.

Practices

All Magic SC Academy teams are coached by licensed, paid staff. Teams train twice per week during the fall and spring, and once per week over the winter. All teams receive one technical training session per week in the fall and spring. Supplemental Training opportunities are also available to Academy players throughout the year.

Games

The game play format is 7v7. Games are held during “play dates,” where a team will play two games in one day. Teams typically play 8-10 games each season, but it only takes up 4-5 days––leaving more time for other family activities.

All players in the Academy receive equal playing time during games and all players experience all of the positions on the field. The focus is on development.

Travel for Academy players is minimal. When games are not at Magic SC’s fields, they are normally in Goshen, Elkhart, Granger, or South Bend.

If possible, Academy age registrants should attend evaluations to help with team placement.

  • Date: Monday, June 13, 2022.
  • Time: 6:00 – 7:30pm (check-in: 5:30pm).
  • Location: Bontrager Fields (58685 CR 37, Middlebury, IN 46540)
